Dakota Stanley is a Senior History major at UVA-Wise. He is the current secretary of the college’s Phi Alpha Theta chapter and an active member of the school’s Darden Society. As a lifelong resident of Southwest Virginia, he has a very strong attachment to this area and enjoys studying its history. Victoria Carter is a Junior History major at UVA-Wise. She is the current secretary of the college’s Colleges Against Cancer club and an active member of the Phi Alpha Theta chapter. She is also about to become the Senior Tactical Operations Officer for her ROTC program. Though she is not from the area, she enjoyed learning about its history and just how active her college community was during the war.
